Malaquias Montoya: Women that I Have Encountered, Artist Talk & Book-Signing This Friday, October 19, 7-8:30pm @ Pence Gallery

Dear Interested Community Members and Colleagues,

We invite you to come to an Artist Talk & Book-Signing by Malaquias Montoya and Terezita Romo, this Friday, October 19, from 7-8:30 pm.

In celebration of the recent publication of the latest volume in the series A Ver: Revisioning Art History Series, entitled Malaquias Montoya, author Terezita Romo will discuss with Montoya his life and work. Montoya has worked for over four decades in a variety of media, fro drawings and painting to murals and prints. Terezita Romo is an independent scholar and curator who has curated many exhibits of art for the Mexican Museum in San Francisco, as well as the recent exhibit, Art Along the Hyphen: the Mexican-American Generation, part of the Getty Foundation’s regional initiative called “Pacific Standard Time: Art in the LA 1945-1980.”
