Inaugural Chicana/o & Latina/o Printing Summit

Our very own co-founder, Malaquías Montoya, was invited to attend the Inaugural Chicana/o & Latina/o Printing Summit in Los Angeles this past week. Since printing has such a strong legacy in social justice, especially in the Chicano movement, the intention of this summit was to pave the way to create “a national pipeline for master printers and foster the knowledge and relationships that these artists provided our communities.”

Malaquías was honored as a master printer alongside Pepe Coronado, Sandra Fernández, and Rogelio Gutierrez. Check out some snapshots from this event below!
