TANA had the pleasure of showing two artists, Goolam Saber and Nathi Simelane, around the area. They drove around Woodland to check out the murals Malaquias and Maceo have created with many folks in the community. Goolam and Nathi also toured our studio to take a look at the art that is being created by the youth here in Woodland.
Both artists come from Johannesburg in South Africa. They also are affiliated with Artist Proof Studio, which is also a community printmaking studio. The studio aims to assist their students in gaining the technical art skills for printmaking, while simultaneously teaching each artist how to build a sustainable career out of printing.
