Special Editions Exhibition

Since 2010, TANA has worked with visiting artists to create limited edition silkscreen prints. We’re pleased to announce that our prints are now for sale. All proceeds will help support TANA’s community workshops and our visiting artist program. The limited edition prints can be viewed on our online catalog viewable here.

Our opening reception was Saturday, October 14th. Below are some photos from the beautiful event! The exhibition will be up until the end of Fall Session. If you are interested in viewing or purchasing the prints, please contact our Assistant Director José Arenas at jaarenas@ucdavis.edu

Imagining America

Imagining America (IA) seeks to catalyze change on campuses and build partnerships among public scholars, artists, students, designers and cultural organizations who are addressing the most pressing issues of our time. We do this work through our annual conference, regional organizing institutes, collaborative research and action initiatives, student fellowship programs and online journal, PUBLIC.

IA is now stationed at the University of California, Davis for the next 5 years! Its national conference was held for the first time ever on the West Coast. TANA is now a partner with IA, and has assisted in the organizing of the conference. Our manager, Drucella Miranda, has sat on their steering committee since Spring. TANA was granted a slot to conduct an on-site workshop where 20 participants of the conference were able to view our gallery space and collaborate with one another to make posters! Drucella, co-founder Malaquias Montoya, and TANA participant Elyse Doyle-Martinez also participated in a panel for the final day of the conference.

Many thanks to DJ Novela for providing the musica and a huge thank you Adelita and her danzantes for their strength and blessings. And many blessings and thanks to all of you, who continue to support TANA and what we do! With much gratitude from TANA and Natalia Deeb-Sossa.
